I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve said over and over that as I age, and learn more about myself, I know I feel fed from intimate connections. Surface level interactions for the sake of obligation are just no longer ok with me. Give me authenticity and I’m a happy girl.
Like many of us these days, I read ALOT of substacks, Yours is ruining me for all the others. Today's spoke to me in a way I never knew I needed. Thank you.
Great article!! I enjoy your transparency and zest for life. Also, I enjoyed reading your words while eating a spectacular PB&J with homemade raspberry jam. It's the simple things.
People who feel like home. Yep. This is a great read, and a reminder that good things come to those who build it! Also, I fully blame you for my annual summer obsession with tomato/stone fruit/burrata salads. I think those and chocolate chip cookies might be the only thing I eat in the summer.
Great read, as always. Spoiler alert: the village gets even smaller in your 50s and those friendships are gold. Thanks to you and @mrsderm for being voices to shut down viral misinformation on the food and skin front.
I love this so much, thank you for sharing and will be making shawarma this week as it’s my fav. I live in Palm Springs and am DYING for a Neighborly/WGC out here.
Love everything about this! And the bean and cheese burritos are always a winner! Have an amazing weekend with your sweet family. We are enjoying our last week of summer break as my son goes back to school August 3rd!❤️
Love this post! My friends have dubbed me “the secretary” for years! I always am trying to coordinate our get togethers because being with my village is very important to me. And hope you and your kiddos enjoy a boat load of sushi together soon!
