Whew. It has been a wild two weeks since we last chatted and I have so much to share. But first: I recently went on a 72 hour getaway to Mexico with nine of my girls and I am refreshed. Zero obligations, no schedules, not a single human needing anything from us. Just robes, face masks, mahjong at all hours of the day, endless guacamole, delish drinks, and an incredible amount of giggling. It was just what the doctor ordered.
Here’s what we collectively decided: we never outgrow sleepovers. Sitting on a couch and making a music video at 11pm will forever be the purest form of girlhood and there is no arguing that. Belting Celine Dion at the top of your lungs is honestly probably healthier than going for a hike or weight lifting. Doing a choreographed walk to the pool and jumping in brings the exact same joy it brought you when you were 8. Maybe even more because it’s not something we do as frequently.

I am convinced that this kind of trip does more for ones mental health than almost anything. There is something that happens when you remove all obligations and just exist with zero agenda. It’s decompression in the best way possible.
The conversations on a trip like this are unhinged. They start normal and end up either in 1: full belly laughs 2: super real and honest or 3: unexpectedly deep. You talk about things you don’t normally have time for in between work obligations or play dates. You laugh until your cheeks cramp. You remember who you are outside of all your responsibilities. And it doesn’t have to be on an extravagant trip. It can be at dinner. It can be at an afternoon out. It can be at dinner. Doesn’t really matter, it just needs to happen. It’s better than any form of therapy IMO.
And then you come home. And you are more patient. Def more present. Refueled x100. So while we might be planning sleepovers and sleep-unders for our kids, don’t forget about yourself.

This might be an alarming statement but we went to Sharky’s for the first time and OMG what have I been missing. Their quesadillas are elite. I feel like I must now make up for lost time.
Kiwami is the sister restaurant to Katsuya and lemme tell ya, their lunch special is a steal.
What I’m Watching

Influenced
This is the eyebrow combo of my dreams - pencil and gel. The pencil is soft brown if you are similar coloring to me.
I am convinced that if you need to gift something to someone who is hard to shop for - this cooling pillow is it. I got it for myself a few months ago and it’s both cooling and you can take out stuffing to make it as soft or hard as you want. While we’re on sleep - I got this mattress for my parents in the guest house and they are obsessed.
If you need to make yourself tan, I’ve been using this base and this as a highlighter. It was ELITE in Mexico.
Bought Thomas this new shirt after getting served an ad on Instagram and he is obsessed
This half zip is what you’ve seen in all my workout videos recently.
These brown corduroy pants are what dreams are made of - and there’s a discount code. I got them in “rich military”
Splurged on some new pajamas - whipped track pant and matching henley. It feels like butter.
Things I Sent to the Group Chat
I recently just booked a group trip to get my first mammogram. Was on the phone with one of my friends and we three-way-called the breast clinic and booked back to back appts and then looped in the rest of the crew. Might as well knock ‘em all out together, right? Maybe a morning of it and then go out for breakfast. Feels right. Text your friends and don’t forget. Next up…. colonoscopy. When are we supposed to start those lol.
Ok - Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving is coming up and we’ve got lots of ground to cover on WGC. The entire site will turn into Thanksgiving central by next week so hit me with any questions and I will make sure we are fully prepped!
xx, G
