Okay hi. It has been three weeks and omg I might have bitten off more than I can chew.
I planned August wrong. Like for real, what was I thinking? In the last four weeks I have been to four different cities / countries and my body is absolutely shattered in the best and worst way possible. New York for the Today Show, London for the best brand trip I have ever experienced in my entire career, a week in Mexico with friends who are essentially family, and then Seattle to close our the summer with my parents and a sinus infection. Half work. Half pure joy. One hundred percent too much to cram into a single month.

(side note - I do feel like I have leveled up to a new level of adulthood as I have never had a sinus infection or taken a z-pack and omg those things really work) Shoutout to whoever said they thought I had a sinus infection on IG live last week. Tis true.
I regret nothing. But I am tired and I am so happy we are back to school and a routine. IG lives are going to be back to their regularly scheduled programming. Substack is back to it’s weekly cadence. The amount of new recipe content coming your way is out of control - we just had a few days of amazing shoots and so many great quick and easy meals.
So in the spirit of having just lived out of a suitcase for basically all of August and the fact that my brain is still an insane place to be but will hopefully regulate next week, I figured there was no better time to share my travel bible.
Here’s what I’ve got for you. The things that keep my semi-sane while traveling with or without kids.
The 10 Non Negotiables I Never Leave Home Without
Vacuum Packing Cubes - a new addition in recent years but only it really helped me get my shit together on the few flights and keep everything organized.
Dry Shampoo - you think I’m washing my hair daily. Absolutely not.
Emergency Salt - no explanation needed. It’s imperative to have at all times.
This carry on bag was gifted to me for Christmas and it’s honestly perfect. Chic but carries everything.
AirFly: If you are an earbud person, you probably have been in a situation where you try to watch a movie on a flight and do not have a headphone jack to plug into the tv. This solves that problem and connects with your earbuds. Bonus, a second set of earbuds can connect to the source so you can watch a movie with a friend, kid, or significant other.
Portable Charger: I travel with 2 of these because god forbid my phone ever dies!
Eye Mask - mandatory for long flights for sleeping.
And these eye masks for hydration. Or a Face Masks if you’re brave enough.
Under eye serum - this shit is MAGICAL and feels amazing.
And next week we are absolutely talking about the state of the creator economy, sponsored content, and everything in between. I have a lot to say and I have been saving it up.
See you then.
xx, G
